MPEG-200 is used to thicken and lubricate textile printing and dyeing industries and in daily chemical production. MPEG-200 can be used in oil products as an anti-freezing agent. It has a low melting point. MPEG-385, MPEG-560, MPEG-775 and MPEG-1500 can all be found in cosmetics. MPEG-2500 reacts with methacrylic or acrylic acids to make MPEG (methyl)acrylate. It is the major macromolecular monmer used for making carboxylic high-efficiency cement water-reducing agent. Polycarboxylic acid high efficiency cement water-reducing agent, synthesized from this raw material, has the capability to keep cement particles dispersed.
