Introduction of Ti6Al4V/TC4 slurry Material for the TC4 Titanium Alloy Also know: T-6Al-4V It is the member type (a+b), from titanium alloy. It has strong mechanical properties. The alloy is strong and extremely durable. This alloy is extremely stable and tough. It can also be enhanced by heat treatment, quenching, or aging. It is 50% more strong after heat treatment than it was after annealing. This alloy can withstand heat up to 400500deg and work for long periods at high temperatures. TC4 performs well at very low temperatures. It can withstand temperatures as low as -196 and is therefore suitable for the manufacture of vessels at high pressure below low temperature, like liquid hydrogen fuel tanks, which can be used in rockets and missiles.
Physical Characteristics of Ti6Al4V Powder (TC4)
Material for the TC4 Titanium Alloy It is resistant to light mechanical and chemical corrosion, with good mechanical properties. A further feature of the material is its biocompatibility. Also, it has low thermal conductivity.
Titanium-based metal The new type is completely different and can have very unique properties, depending on its elements carbon, hydrogen or nitrogen. It usually has the following:
1, High strength . Its density is 4.51g/cm2, which is half the steel’s. Although pure titanium can retain twice the strength of steel, its density is comparable to that found in steel. The reason is that titanium alloy can have a greater specific strength than all other metal structural materials.
2, It is high in thermophysical strength . You can use titanium alloy up to 45500 at moderate temperatures without losing its strength.
3, Very high resistance to corrosion . It can be used in humid as well as seawater environments. This steel has a higher resistance to corrosion than the stainless-steel.
4, good low-temperature performance . The mechanical properties of titanium alloys can be maintained at low temperatures, and sometimes even below. This alloy is very strong at low temperatures with few gaps. This alloy is able to retain some plasticity at temperatures below -253. It can be used to make low-temperature structural materials.
5, High levels of chemical activity . Titanium reacts chemically with nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen as well water vapor, ammonia, and hydrogen. A titanium alloy with more than 0.2% carbon will produce hard TiC. TiN may form when temperatures are high. Any titanium with more carbon than 600 can absorb oxygen. This is what creates a hardening layer. A high temperature can lead to the formation of a hardening layer. High temperatures can cause a rise in hydrogen. By inhalation, surface hardness can reach as high as 0.15mm to 0.1mm. It is possible to achieve a surface hardness of between 20-30%. Due to its chemical affinity, it is possible to stick to friction surfaces with ease.
6, Low thermal conductivity . It is similar to 1/4% Nickel and 1/2% Iron. Numerous titanium alloys are similar in thermal conductivity, even though they have half the production rate. This alloy is about half as strong and has a lower elastic module than steel. Because titanium is very rigid, you can deform it quite easily. It can’t be used in conjunction with slim-walled components or thin rods.

Applications for TC4 and Ti6Al4V powder
Ti6Al4V is used in high-performance applications, such as automotive engineering and aerospace engineering.
Aerospace: Components for jet engines
Fabrication: Industrial turbines
Car: muffler
Medical: implants, artificial bones
Petroleum Industry: These rods are extremely resistant to corrosion and inert. The electrolyte is electrolytic Mn02. It’s a neutral solution with MnSO4. Electrodes must resist corrosion. It is an issue for any telegraph machine manufactured from graphite or other lead alloys. It can be used as a semi-permanent device if the anode switch to titanium.
Rods of TC4 Titanium Alloy show a remarkable resistance to corrosion in any organic acid, media or other organic compound except formic and oxalic acids. It is not only resistant to corrosion caused by organic alcohols, ketones, and aldehydes but also resists methanol.
In the petrochemicals, for instance, acetic and nitric acids are made from acetaldehyde. The corrosion of stainless steel can be caused by chloride or acetic acids. To address the problem, titanium is an alternative. Either propylene or titanium can both be used in the production of acetone. Acetone production in Japan was possible at a capacity of 30,000 tonnes per annum. This plant used 40 tons of Titanium.
You can use TC4 titanium rods to withstand H2S, SO4 and other wet gases. You can also withstand ammonia. Use titanium only in mediums containing large amounts of hydrogen.
Oil refining equipment is susceptible to damage from H2S and NH8 as well as by sulfide or chloride. This problem can be fixed by Titanium equipment. Most of Titanium equipment can be found in the petroleum refining industry. Condensers as well as air coolers are examples of this type. When producing ammonia/urea, this material is extremely resistant to corrosion.
