Sodium tripolyphosphate Tpp, sodium tripolyphosphate Ph
It is an inorganic chemical substance with the formula na5p3o10. It is a form of an amorphous and water-soluble linear polyphosphate. Two types of sodium triphosphate exist: the high-temperature (type I) and low-temperature (type II). It is their differing bond lengths or bond angles that make the difference. Both have similar chemical properties but their thermal stability, hygroscopicity and thermostability are greater than those of type II.
